Ocom Reporting

What is Ocom Reporting?

Ocom Reporting is the O’communication brand dedicated to annual, integrated and CSR reports. The teams, contacts and legal notices are those of O’communication.

What types of report do you produce?

The agency produces annual reports, activity reports, financial reports, integrated reports, CSR reports, sustainability reports and impact reports, as well as their digital versions.

Do you work with foundations and institutions?

Yes. Foundations, public bodies and federations account for a significant share of the reports the agency has designed since 2004.

Annual report and activity report

What is the difference between an annual report and an activity report?

The annual report covers activity, financial results and governance. The activity report concentrates on the year’s actions and highlights. It does not always include a financial section.

How long does it take to produce an annual report?

Allow three to four months from scoping to publication. The schedule depends mostly on when the accounts are approved and on the number of contributors.

How many pages should an annual report have?

In the corpus studied by the agency, the median narrative report went from 47 pages in 2004–2009 to 36.5 pages in 2022–2024. The right length remains the one that serves the message.

Integrated report

What is an integrated report?

An integrated report explains how an organisation creates value over time. It links strategy, business model, governance and financial and non-financial performance in a single narrative.

Is an integrated report mandatory?

No. In France, the integrated report is a voluntary approach. It complements regulatory documents such as the universal registration document or the sustainability statement.

Does the integrated report replace the sustainability report?

No. The sustainability report follows precise standards and a legal obligation for the companies concerned. The integrated report takes up its essential elements in a concise, readable format.

CSR report and sustainability report

Is my company still subject to the CSRD?

Since the Omnibus I directive, the obligation applies to companies with more than 1,000 employees and more than €450 million in net turnover. Your chartered accountant or statutory auditor can confirm your situation.

Should we publish a CSR report if we are not subject to the CSRD?

Nothing requires it. A voluntary report nevertheless answers requests from customers, banks, investors and candidates. The VSME standard provides a recognised framework.

What is the difference between a CSR report and a sustainability report?

The sustainability report is the regulatory document defined by the CSRD and the ESRS standards. “CSR report” is a broader term that also covers voluntary reports.

Digital report

Is a PDF enough for an annual report?

The PDF remains useful for archiving and printing. An HTML web edition is better indexed, easier to read on mobile and more often picked up by search engines and AI assistants.

What is an accessible PDF?

An accessible PDF is tagged so that assistive technologies can read it. It has a heading structure, a reading order and text alternatives for images.

Foundations and institutions

What should a foundation’s activity report contain?

It presents the mission, the projects supported, the resources and how they were used, governance and outlook. Key figures and beneficiary testimonials make the work concrete.

Do you respond to public tenders?

Yes. The agency regularly responds to public contracts for editorial consulting, graphic design and report production.

Demanding sectors

Do you work for defence companies?

Yes. The agency supports players in the defence sector, including KNDS and Daher. It applies confidentiality rules suited to these clients.

Study

How has the annual report evolved over twenty years?

It has moved from a review of activity to a strategy and sustainability document. Stakeholders, materiality, purpose and value creation have all become common.

Method

When should we start our annual report?

For a spring publication, scoping generally begins the previous autumn. The earlier the scoping, the more calmly interviews and visuals can be prepared.
